Overview

 

The Street Department is responsible for regular maintenance of streets and alleys within the City of Paola.

  • Alleys


    Maintenance to alleys is generally accomplished through call-in and from reports from city crews.

  • Miscellaneous


    The Street Department is also responsible for ditch maintenance, spraying for mosquitoes, providing barricades when needed, snow and ice removal, storm clean-up and replacement of concrete curbs.

  • Paved Streets


    Complete reconstruction and mill / overlay projects. Crews periodically patch potholes and seal cracks.

  • Street Traffic Signs


    Maintenance, installation, and repair of street traffic signs such as street markers, stop signs and speed limit signs.

  • Unpaved Streets


    Crews periodically grade or gravel unpaved streets
